greetings,
I am a new user and sampled the trial offer before officially signing up, during the trial period, the interface was colourful and easy to work with, and I can easily see file status as they are being downloaded, however since completing the trial and paying for the service, the interface has changed to a basic white & grey format.
When I request file download, I see the file queued, however nothing happens, what has changed, what am I doing wrong?
the new interface seems to have taken effect on or about December 29th, 2011.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

Added update, while waiting for the file download to begin, I am noticing the server seems to recognize a file download request has been made, and seems to be attempting to refresh the download, however nothing is rfeally processing beyond this.

SABnzbd is a free open source program, which doesn't require payment
and subsequently doesn't have a "trial period".
Did you buy a GigaNews subscription through the ad on our website?
SABnzbd will work with any Usenet subscription, including GigaNews.
There is no relationship between SABnzbd and GigaNews other than that
SABnzbd can make use of a GigaNews subscription.
