After having all sorts of problems with Firefox and every port being used, I've open it up in IE and any added nzb just queues up a file with no progress, tried pausing, resuming nothing happens. Anyway of checking whether I'm actually connected to my giganews server?

Re: How to start download?
Look in the Connections page, there you will see server info and warnings/errors (if any).
Re: How to start download?
This is all it says:
Connections
news.giganews.com:80: 0
Is there something I should be doing after adding the nzb to start the download or should it do it automatically?

Re: How to start download?
Do you have SSL enabled? It won't work when using port 80 (use 443 or 563)
Re: How to start download?
I have SSL enabled, tried disabling it with no difference, this is what is showing on my connections page now:
Connections
* news.giganews.com:563: 0
But the files are still queued without progressing.

Re: How to start download?
Check number of connections in server definition.
Is downloading paused (do you see "resume" in the Main or Queue page?)
Set the logging level to "Debug" (Connections page), restart SAbnzbd.
Get the sabnzbd.log file from the Connections page and email it to bugs at sabnzbd.org.
Please add the blocking NZB file too.

Re: How to start download?
Pause & resume have no effect on the queue, number of connections was set to 3 then I tried 1.
I'm emailing the log & nzb file now to bugs@sabnzbd.org (is this correct?). Thanks

Re: How to start download?
The NZB downloads fine here.
I have no idea what's going on on your system.
You could send the sabnzbd.ini file to the same email address.
Don't forget to remove passwords!
Have you tried another Usenet program (like Grabit) on the same system?

Re: How to start download?
Ok, I'll send the ini thru. I'm a Newsleecher user, and grabit installed and worked fine too. Shame because sabnzbd sounded like a good idea.
Re: How to start download?
You stumbled over a known bug.
You should not set your only server to be a "Backup server".
Uncheck the box and go!

Re: How to start download?
Unfortunately still no luck, unchecked ssl & backup server, removed server and added it again,
this is my connections page:

With no progress in the queue

Re: How to start download?
If you uncheck SSL, I think you need to go back to port 119 too.
