Not sure if there is already a facility to download the whole queue before it runs the post-processing unpack routines.
Using a NAS, once a file is downloaded , Sab does its unpack etc, which then reduces the download speed by 50% for the next file and subsequent files until downloading is complete - I guess because the NAS is using its resources processing the Unpack. To make full use of the bandwidth it may be better to download everything in the queue and then apply the Post Processing routines?
Is this something already possible or easiy-ish to do? I;m on a MAC OS-X

Does SABnzbd run on the NAS or the Mac?
Why would you want to do the post-processing at the end?
You will just fill up your disk with temporary files.
If the NAS cannot cope you can select "Pause Downloading During Post-Processing".
Alternatively you can schedule a "Pause Post-processing" and "Resume Post-processing" event.

I was basically trying to find the best way to download/unpack etc while utilizing my Synology NAS.
My original set-up was to use the mac-mini to download directly to the NAS box which was Ok, but then when it started the post-process of unpacking etc while it was downloading the next file, it would reduce dload speed by 50%. This is probably due to the new download hitting the NAS while the mac-mini was accessing the previous file to read-unpack and write back - so quite a bit of disk activity on the NAS and network activity between the two devices as well as processing going on.
The solution, was to make use of the Categories feature. So now I download all files onto the Mac-Mini, the post-processing unpack etc takes place on the mini, but using the folder path feature in Categories, I direct the end-file to the NAS. So in the whole process I'm now only using the NAS to receive the final file.
NAS activity is reduced, network activity is reduced and the good old mac-mini chugs on downloading at full speed.
Superb App, just takes a little to work out all the features and how to make them work for you. And usually there is a simple answer to a simple problem!
