I recently signed up with thecubenet for a monthly and set the server up, but it seems to be literally crawling in speed. It seems blocks constantly finish as 0 bytes. It caps out around 500 bytes/s or so.
This is even stranger because I also have a block purchased from blocknews, yet that seems to be perfectly fine maxing out my connection speeds (around 1.5 mbytes/s). Is there something I'm missing here, a setting that I have to manipulate? Really confused, would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

Re: Strange problem, really need help
Are you sure your downloads are within thecubenet's retention time?
When SABnzbd only receives "don't have article" messages, this looks like downloading at a very low speed.
What does the entry in History show when you click on it?

Re: Strange problem, really need help
I haven't completed one yet (don't see the point of doing so, seeing as they're empty), but here is a log entry:
2011-11-25 06:46:43,877::INFO::[downloader:559] Thread 2@secure.news.thecubenet.com:563: Article xxxxxxxx missing (error=430)

The nzb itself is 4 days old, thecubenet supposedly has 1118+ retentions.
Again, works perfectly fine on blocknews.

Re: Strange problem, really need help
Well, thecubenet doesn't have it in this case.
This is normal behavior when articles are missing.
Did you try any other NZB?
If this problem is consistent, raise a ticket at thecubenet.

Re: Strange problem, really need help
Simple as that? Hmm... they're a Highwinds reseller from what I know of them, strange they wouldn't have it...
Re: Strange problem, really need help
If you doubt that it's thecubenet, try a different client (like Grabit) with the same NZB.
