Genres

Post by cordax »

Hello, Happy Thanksgiving :-).

My first post.

Is there anyway to have sabnzbd filter movies into genres? Currently I use nzbdStatus plugin for FireFox to send my nzb's from nzbmatrix to my sabnzbd server. It add's them to my movies folder but I would like for it to sort the movies as they are downloaded into Genres and have them put in their proper folders. example I download a movie Tombstone now it goes to Movies\Tombstone\ . I would like to have sabnzbd add it to Movies\Western\Tombstone\. Depending on the movie downloaded would be sorted to the proper genre Actions,Drama,Western, etc . I'm using the latest build of sabnzbd with sabnzbd doing the sorting currently. Any help would be grateful.

Based on what criteria?
The only thing you can do is define categories, each with its own path.
But you still have to set the category manually.

I would be happy with any criteria to get me started. I have category's set with movies but it doesn't work. All downloaded movies are still kept in "movies\Name of movie" downloaded. There is no genre separating the movies.

Here is a example of what I have in sabnzbd categories section.

Category / Processing / Priority / Script / Folder/Path / Groups / Indexer tags

movies / Default / Default / Default / D:/Moives/ Western
movies / Default / Default / Default / D:/Moives/ Action
movies / Default / Default / Default / D:/Moives/ Drama

Look, there is simply no info for SABnzbd to base any genre assignment on.
Do you suppose it knows that Tombstone is a western?
What you can do is define western, romatic-comedy etc. categories
and assign those to individual movies.
