Connection drops alot

Hey,

It seems about once every 10-15mins my connection drops for a few mins then comes back up. I have a very slow connection here (1 mbps) but it is stable for everything else -never dropping. Would reducing the number of connections (currently 20) to the server solve this? Im using astraweb. I wouldnt mind if I had a fast connection but when its this slow every second counts ;)

And you don't suspect that your ISP is traffic shaping?
Are you using WiFi?

For a 1 mbit, 20 connections is WAY too many. In fact, each connection would be left with no more speed than a 56k dialup line. Reduce to 2 or 3.

edit: looking positive so far, changed it to 2 connections and no disconnects. Cheers guys :)
