Need help with failed downloads

I am new Usenet and everything, but I read a lot about it and read many tutorials and thought I had a basic understanding of things.

Version: 0.6.10
OS: Win 7
Install-type: Windows Installer
Skin Plush
Firewall Software: Win 7
Are you using IPV6? don't know
Is the issue reproducible? yes

I am running using couchpotato, my service provider is Astraweb and indexing service is NZB Matrix VIP account.

My problem is that many of my downloads fail with the little red skull next to them. For example, I tried to download 10 TV episodes since this morning and 5 have failed. I hope I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is. The logs seems to indicate a missing article for all of them, but I have no idea why or what to do about it. Can anyone help?

Why do you put your temporary download folder on a share?

Because I have far more space there. Should I not?

Not recommended because you will generate a lot of network traffic
that competes with SABnzbd.
Also the logging suggests that you might have some access rights issues.

Are those contributing to or causing the failures? What lines from the log are showing you permission issues?

I installed a spare hard drive on my local machine and so far after 11 downloads, I haven't had one fail yet and most of them were re-downloading ones that failed previously so it looks like that worked. I wish I understood why though. I mean each time an episode finishes it is being copied to the NAS while the next episode is downloading so don't I still have the network traffic? And I don't understand how that created missing articles for some NZBs. Nonetheless, I'm glad it's working so far.

There have been reports from some more people who have an "unusual" location for the temporary files.
So far, I haven't been able to pinpoint a cause.
