Movie sorting issues

Post by dkritso »

First off, I love sabnzbd, it's my most loved app on my computer.

I am kinda new to sorting, and I have it set up almost just the way I like it. I do have a few hiccups I have to fix until it is perfect.

First is that when I set the sorting the way I want it, no folders "Name [DATE].ext", and then save it in the Sorting Configuration settings, my next download gets renamed perfectly. But when I do a bunch of movies they revert back to no renaming convention and all of them in their own folders.

Also if I could ask if anyone could tell me how to add "unrated edition" or "directors cut" into:
"Name [Unrated] [DATE].ext" or
"Name [Director's Cut] [DATE].ext

I don't know what the problem is about the sorting convention resetting. I save it after I change anything, and I restarted SABnzbd aswell.

Can someone please help me with this?
Thanks a ton in advance!!

The first part.
Do you set a category for each job that you expect to get the "Generic Sort" treatment?
And are those categories selected in the Generic Sort category table?
Also, having files in one folder only works for downloads that contain single MKV (and such) files,
not DVD downloads.

Second part.
SABnzbd cannot add information like [Unrated] if it's not already in the title.
Not sure what you want here.

No I haven't set categories yet, just the default that's in there. Is there anyway that the single mkv or whatever file is renamed and the rest of the junk discarded or put in a folder by itself?

Now for the second thing, the files have the .unrated.edition. in the file name, and I want to be able to turn this "ils-lost.highway.se.1997.unrated.edition.dvdrip.xvid" into this
"Lost Highway [Unrated] [1997]"

Normally this what happens, with the junk in the same folder.
Without specific examples it's not possible to treat your issue as a problem.

End your sort expression with /%title.%ext
The mkv will get the same name as the original nzb file name.
