SABnzbd invisible

Post by ummaya »

Hello,

I have just downloaded and installed SABnzbd for the first time but once the program is installed I do not succeed to make it start properly. I click the desktop shortcut but nothing happens; SABnzbd does not appears on the screen in spite that it does appear as open and properly working on Windows Task Manager Process tab.

Windows 7, all drivers installed etc...

Can you help please? Thanks

On Windows:

Open a CMD-box: type CMD<ENTER> in the start/find-box
In that CMD-box:
go to C:
CD into the directory containing sabnzbd-console.exe (probably C:\Program Files\SABnzbd or C:\Program Files (86)\SABnzbd)
then type sabnzbd-console.exe<ENTER>

Wait what happens, and post the output here in this forum

What if you point to browser to http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd and/or http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd

Do you use a firewall on your PC? If so, can you turn it off temporarily and try again?

Do you use a proxy in your webbrowser? I guess not, but just checking...

Hi,

I went to work and when I came back home somehow the links you gave me did work ( with firewall on) and I was able to configure SABnzbd and started to use it.
Thanks again for helping.
