how can I tell which queue entry corresponds to a failed NZB

Post by wcanyon »

0.6.9

I'm getting several "URL Fetching Failed" messages in my History tab. I'd like to know which entry in the queue this corresponds to. How can I do that?

The message is:
https://www.nzbsrus.com/nzbdownload_rss ... 2f75-----/
URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file, Try again
2011-10-16 19:44:10

Most all of the NZBs that I have come from the same site, so that's no help. My log file looks like this (no entry that I can see that corresponds to the failure, since the last entry is 15 minutes before the fail):

Code: Select all

This link must have come from an RSS link of nzbrus.org.
But whatever it is, it's not available on the site any more.

That's not what I'm trying to figure out. What I would like to know is which entry in the queue corresponds to this failed nzb? I must have wanted it, so now I need to figure out which thing that I wanted isn't going to be getting downloaded. Is there a way to do this?

Not unless you can relate the number in the link to a report of the index site.

I also have this 'URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file, Try again' problem. Changed nothing, only upgraded to 0.6.9.

Getting nzbs from NZBs.org, never seen one Unusable NZB error in two years.

Do you expect an answer when you just say "it doesn't work"?
At the very least email one such nzbs.org URL to bugs at sabnzbd.org.
Most of the time "unusable nzb" means that the site sent some goofy error page instead of an NZB.
Without more info, there's nothing I can do.

I'd prefer to figure out if it really is a bug before I submit a bug report. To get to the bottom of it, it would be helpful if I knew which entry in the queue had a failed nzb. If I go get that nzb again and queue it again and it fails again, then I'll be able to say it was definitely X nzb from Y site. Without knowing what q entry it is, I can't go get that nzb from a different site.

Summary: can't troubleshoot without being able to isolate.

I think I found a way to troubleshoot this, at least with nzbsrus. In the url: https://www.nzbsrus.com/nzbdownload_rss ... ccd93cd50/ the first set of digits is the nzb ID. So if you google "nzbsrus 468524" you'll see what show it is. Or you can use http://www.nzbsrus.com/nzbdetails.php?id=[ID NUMBER HERE].

Still, it seems like this information ought to be in sab somewhere, just a matter of showing it. Maybe not.
