Hello there...
So, imagine this scenario : I download a file, sabnzb verify it, it's corrupted, it downloads the par2 files, verify again, and repair it.
Why not repair it directly ? The second verification is kind of a waste of time, of my time more precisely, because, the windows' scheduler being what it is, it kinda locks up my computer... It's, to say the least, annoying... Any way to modify this behavior ?
Thanks.

Re: A question about verification...
How fast is your download? Most people run sab on a decent computer, where it's faster to run the verification of the SFV and then download the Par2 file(s).
Try disabling Quick Check in Config>Switches if you really want to rely on par2 files. If you find you're constantly repairing files, it might be better to simply get a backup/fill server.

Re: A question about verification...
I have no problem with Quick Check, it's just that I don't really see the point of running 2 verifications at 2min intervals. Verification #1 already found the files to be corrupted, there is no need to run it again 2mins later. If it was after repairing the files, I could understand, but this is before repairing them...pmow wrote:How fast is your download? Re: A question about verification...
That's just the way the par2 program works.
Nothing we can do about it.
OK we can replace the "verification" text with "repairing", so you won't notice anymore

That's kind of stupid....
But thank you for your answers.

Re: A question about verification...
On a more serious note, we're working on a option to just download all par2 files when QuickCheck fails.
For many high-bandwidth/no-caps users, saving a verify/repair cycle saves more time than not downloading more than necessary.
