Server connection is good, was downloading 6 files (400mb ea), got a timed out error.
Same thing happened a couple of days ago and had to reinstall Sabnzbd to get it to work. This time I've decided to ask you folks if you can help me.
I can't get rid of the connection it says is timed out - it has a locked padlock next to it.
Can't get Sabnzbd to restart - maybe I need to get rid of the locked connection? How do I do that?
Thank you

Re: Froze - timed out
which connection is timed out? In your webbrowser, or the newsserver connection, or ... ?
Why can't you restart SABnzbd?
Why are you running such an old SABnzbd version (0.5.0)?
Can you post a screenshot of the time out?

Re: Froze - timed out
1. On the connections page, it shows the newsserver (usenetserver), the port, the download file, a locked padlock, and the phrase "Timed out". The problem is that there were about 10 connections to the newsserver, and I couldn't get rid of them when I found Sabnzbd locked up. Later, I restarted Mint 9 and the connections went away finally, but when I tried to load another file into Sabnzbd, it wouldn't start downloading even though the server test tested fine.
2. I don't know. I tried to the Restart button, and nothing happened. It was locked up.
3. This is the version that came from the depository, so if it's so old, there must be a reason, right? I don't know why it is so old. Have no idea. It ran fine for quite a while (6 months) without any problems, but cannot figure out what I've done different.
4. No, because I finally cleared it out through Force Disconnect and restarting it. The other day, I actually reinstalled Sabnzbdplus and got it running again.

Re: Froze - timed out
I still don't understand where the froze / time-out happens.
Anyway: next time you have this problem, make sure to make a screenshot.
PS: you can get the uptodate SABnzbd via https://launchpad.net/~jcfp/+archive/ppa and via http://sabnzbd.org/download/ ("Python Source")

Re: Froze - timed out
I'm sorry, I just realized what you meant - in time, I thought location.
I was downloading 6 (400mb) files from usenetserver.net last night. I got up this am to find it had stalled on the 4th file about half way through and came up with the Timed Out error on the connections page.
The Timed Out error wasn't the problem for me, I can understand the server might have gone down or whatever, but I couldn't restart Sabnzbd. Everything I touched was frozen, except for testing the server on the server page, and it tested fine, so I (?) assumed that Sabnzbd had a problem in that it couldn't recover after the Time Out.

Re: Froze - timed out
I just upgraded Sabnzbd+, we'll see if I have the same problems. I'll Solved this one cause I have a sneaking suspicion my problems are history - this new one seems much smoother.
