(Not a *package* question, but a SAB on Ubuntu question)
Short: can SAB on Ubntu directly use a Samba share via it's UNC?
Long:
I have a Samba share (guest accessible, readable and writable for all, so writable for guest) under the name //r540/sharing aka //192.168.1.53/sharing. I can access that drive using smbclient and nautilus.
I want to use that share via it's UNC in SAB. I tried //r540/sharing aka //192.168.1.53/sharing (and the \\\\ variants) as SAB's complete directory, but without success: the GUI complains the directory is not emtpy / not writable "Incorrect parameter Error: Queue not empty, cannot change folder. ", or SAB's log says "2011-08-27 16:54:57,224::INFO::[misc:718] Creating directories: /home/sander/\\\\r540\\sharing/Downloads/complete/blabla". Not good.
So: is it possible to use a UNC in SAB running on Ubuntu? If so, how?
how use samba share's UNC as SAB's download dir?

Re: how use samba share's UNC as SAB's download dir?
No, SABnzbd only understands mounted volumes.
That's all the OS supports. Don't use XMBC as an example, because I'm not going to build Samba into SABnzbd
