Port number keeps changing back to 2708

Post by AlphaCat »

Hi guys,

Just installed sabnzbd a few days ago (on a ReadyNAS x86) and so far it's working like a charm with SB and CP.
One hiccup though is that if I set the SABnzbd Port to 8080 in the General tab, after restarting it reverts to 2708.
Is there an easy fix for this?

Regards
AC

Have you googled on SABnzbd & 2708? It seems to be well known behaviour. Maybe you'll find an answer there?

I actually did, but nothing relevant jumped out at me. Guess I should have another look.
I'm sure it's some bonehead setting error on my part.

I think it's the default setting for SAB on that platform, which is probably set again after a reboot. You could try to change it, but you could also live with it ...

It's very likely that the package creator added some startup script that hard-codes the port number.
Ask it on the site where you got the package from.
We don't create and don't support such packages.
