0.6.6 Failed to retrieve RSS

Hi there,

I've been using SABnzbd for a whilst now and absolutely love it but I've just recently picked myself up an Android device and noticed that there was an nzbmatrix app on there so I decided to download it and start fillin' me boots with triggering downloads from my phone via the bookmarks. However, for some unknown reason, the SABnzbd application is no longer reading my Bookmarks RSS feed. The steps I've taken so far for troubleshooting:

• Disabling the Windows Firewall and re-reading the feed
  Recreating the feed entry
  Restarting the SABnzbd application from within the web interface
  Deleting my rss_data.sab file
  Upgrading to 0.6.6

Unfortunately, none of the above have brought me any closer to a resolution as I still get the follow error:

Failed to retrieve RSS from http://nzbmatrix.com/rss-bookmarks.php? ... my_API_Key*: <urlopen error (10061, 'Connection refused')>

In my log, I keep repeatedly seeing the following entries occurring but I don't see anything that helps me resolve the issue:

Does anyone have any suggestions for me because I'm pretty sure that there aren't any issues with the connection to NZBMatrix.

nzbmatrix doesn't exactly have the reputation of being reliable.
"Connection refused" is a fairly low level error, meaning that nzbmatrix won't accept further connections.
Check the RSS URL with your web browser.
If that works and SABnzbd does not, they you may have an issue.
See if restarting SABnzbd helps.

I have resolved this issue. I had been working with the SABnzbd interface from another computer and therefore testing the URL on that machine. However, even though SABnzbd was still able to download, Windows Update was still updating and other download only applications were working without issue, HTTP traffic didn't appear to be working. On further troubleshooting of the issue on the machine, it seems that Internet Explorer had aribtrarily set the machine to use itself as a proxy for HTTP traffic using some strange 49697 port (not something I've ever set before).

Thanks for the reply all the same; however the comments about the unreliability of nzbmatrix aren't something that I've ever personally experienced. I did, however, check that I was able to access the RSS URL before posting and could get to both that, and the site itself from my laptop and Android device so it was just an oversight on my part by using the wrong Windows interface (i.e. not the RDP session I had open) for my testing. Please feel free to remove this thread from the bugs forum if you wish.

It's OK.
It wasn't unreasonable to assume a problem with SABnzbd.
I may have sound irritated, because often there is a problem with nzbmatrix.
(And admittedly, SABnzbd didn't always handle that gracefully and maybe still doesn't always.)
