Folder Moving/Sorting

Post by iced00d »

Good morning. So after setting up SAB and SB on my ubuntu box, I decided to do some CM. In my home directory I created a directory called XBMC. Within that directory I created several directories like - Movies, TV, Anime, etc. In the SAB configurations, I went to categories and set up the different categories to those directories using this configuration -> Priority - Default / Processing - +Delete / Script - sabToSickBeard.py / Folder Path - <path to the directories listed above> / Groups - < names listed above >.

Now for the weird part, when I find a show in SB, it sends the .nzb to SAB and starts the download. The problem is when the dload is complete, the files do not go to the above directories, but to the 'complete' directory that is defined in SB. How can I configure my system to automatically move the files to the specific directories i have configured in SAB? Thanks in advance....

As long as you use the SickBeard script, SickBeard determines where data lands.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess the confusion comes from following these steps -> http://www.ainer.org/sick-beard-install ... nux-mint/3 . As you can see it talks about changing the autoProcessTV.cfg file and also setting SAB to the sabToSickBeard.py. Doesn't this determine the directory structure? Also in the SB settings, Post Processing Configuration -> TV directory it states "The folder where your download client puts your TV downloads. NOTE: Use only if not using SABnzbd+ post processing. Or if SABnzbd+ and Sick Beard are on different PCs. " Isn't that also tied to the autoProcessTV.cfg file? Tks for the help .. Totally new at all of this ..

You might get lucky and get an answer from other members here,
but for detailed SickBeard questions I guess you should go to SickBeard's forum.

Make sure you tell sabnzbd+ to use the sabtosickbeard script for the post-processing.

If you do that it will do everything you have marked in SB

I've been trying to solve this problem for a few weeks, with no luck. Everything SAB downloads just throws it into one big folder.

Looks like you are not using categories correct
Make sure that when you load something into sabnzbd+ that you select a category (or that it is auto selected)

If it's thrown in by Sickbeard, how would I change the category with Sab?

So you set the TV category in SB.
Make sure that you tell SABNZBD+ to use the post-processing script for the TV category.

You do this under : /config/categories/
