The application SABnzbd+ can't be opened. -1712

Hello! I have a Mac laptop and recently got the new osx Lion. I decided to try switching internet browsers from firefox to safari to have all the new osx lion features. But I encountered problems when trying to use SABnzbd in safari. I switched the default browser to safari so that SABnzbd would open up there instead of firefox. But it did not seem to work on safari. And when I switched back to firefox it did not work in firefox anymore either.

When I click on the SABnzbd application on my Mac I get this error message, "The application SABnzbd+ can't be opened. -1712." I can't open nzbs from the internet and automatically have it open up SABnzbd anymore either. When I click on the nzb and choose to "open with SABnzbd" nothing happens. However, I noticed that I am able to manually open SABnzbd from within the application (get package contents) and get to the website through the URL in firefox. Then I am able to manually add NZB in the SABnzbd webpage by locating the nzb saved in my computer. I would like to be able to just click the nzb and open it automatically without having to go through all these extra steps like I used to. SABnzbd has always worked fine on my Mac. Even after I switched to osx Lion (before I tried Safari) it still worked automatically when I clicked on a nzb and opened it through a website like NZBMatrix.

Does anyone know the solution to this problem? I'd like to click download NZB and have it automatically link to SABnzbd and open instead of having to add it manually.

First of all, install release 0.6.6 Beta 2.
This one is compatible with Lion.
For the coupling of NZB to SABnzbd, use the Finder.
Navigate to an NZB file and use "Open With..." menu will allow you to couple NZB to
(the right version of) SABnzbd.

I downloaded the 0.6.6Beta 2 version and I tried downloading something by clicking on the nzb and choosing "open with" SABnzbd+ 2. And at first it worked. Then when I tried something else nothing happened anymore. I also tried choosing the save option so I could go to the nzb that was saved on my computer and click open with SABnzbd+ 2. But it doesn't save either. It saves but it does not show up in the folder that it should save to. So now I am no longer able to go into SABnzbd and add nzb anymore.

I figured out that the problem with this was because I had the SABnzbd+ add-on for firefox. I removed it and it seemed to allow me to save the nzbs again. Hopefully I can get it to open automatically now. Thanks!

I am no longer able to download through SABnzbd. The nzbs open into it but then nothing happens and the download doesn't start. I went to test server and I got this message, "the page at http://localhost:8085 says: 502 your per-user connection limit reached". I am not sure what this means or how to fix it. If anyone could help that would be great!

It's an error message from your Usenet provider.
Possibly you have set the number of connections for the server too high in Config->Servers.
Pause SABnzbd.
Check what is allowed by your provider and adjust it accordingly, preferably lower than what's allowed.
Wait half an hour and try to download again.
