A Few New Guy Questions

Post by rfry11 »

Hello, I've been searching everywhere to the answer to this question, but what units are being used for the total download ticker at the bottom of SABnzbd+'s page?

To be more specific, here's a picture: http://imgur.com/w1Ydh

Normally there's a B (or b) after the M to denote MegaBytes or Megabits. After staring at it enough, I'm convinced it has to be MegaBytes, but I'm just looking for some clarification.

Second question, if I have FrugalUsenet.com set to be my Main server, and then set BlockNews.com to be my backup, will it use BlockNews to download if the NZB is out of Frugal's retention period? I bought a month of Frugal to test out Usenet, but I'm looking to switch to BlockNews because I only have a 3mbps DSL connection and I only download in SD. It'd be nice if I could use up the rest of Frugal while only touching BlockNews to download out of retention things. (100+ days)

Finally, I have a third question, but it's not focused specifically on SABnzbd+. I'm only asking it because I assume that everyone here has used one at one point, but do Block Usenet providers like BlockNews.com sell storage in GigaBytes or Gigabits?

EDIT: Added a question.

All of SABnzbd's measurements are Bytes. The only time you're going to see something measured in Bits is transfer speed, and in SABnzbd we measure that in Bytes as well.

Yes.

Same deal as above. Quantity is in Bytes, Speed is in Bits.
