SABnzbd newbie help. Post processing and what not

Post by MrHaugen »

Hello

I've just got my self access to NZBmatrix and bought a subscription to Usenetserver.com. I'm having a very hard time integrating Sickbeard together with SABnzbd though. After much trouble with sickbeard it looks like it searches for NZB's, downloads them and pass the info forward to SABnzbd now. The actual files is downloaded in SABnzbd to my Download Complete folder, but they are never processed and moved to my media folder. The correct directory together with backdrop and folder images are created in my media directory thoug. I'm not sure where this thing halting.

I've tried the best I could, to follow guides and such for this setup. But they are either incomplete, wrong, I've screwed up or my setup is requiring something special.

Info:
- Sickbeard Alpha build 486 (custom modified version for J River Media Center integration)
- SABnzbd 0.6.5

Here is screenshots of my SABnzbd config (Sorry about that menu. It's gotten screwed up at some point. God knows why?):

Any help and pointers would be appreciated!

Maybe you should ask this question (too) on the SickBeard forum.

I asked my self that question. But when it comes to post processing and moving the finished downloads, I think that's SABnzb's job. So I think this forum should be the correct one to ask this question.

I'll post it on the Sickbeard forum as well.

SickBeard depends on its end-of-job script to be run by SABnzbd.
Set that script in the appropriate categories in Config->Categories.
Currently you have it only in category TV.
Do your jobs get the right category?

Looks like the category is OK, yes. When I click on the downloaded file, there is a summary. The category here is "tv", which should be correct I think. There is no need for more folder options under Categories? I think it's pretty strange that this text boxes should be empty, but I've seen no indication to filling this out in any guides.

These boxes can remain all empty, because they have default or are not relevant.
To be safe, set the script for the default category (top line) to the SickBeard script.
That way, every job will be sent to SickBeard.

I don't know if this tells you anything. It's the debug log:

It tells me that the SickBeard script is actually started.
Why it doesn't seem to do anything is more a SickBeard problem, I guess.

Try the Sample-PostProc.cmd example script from SABnzbd's program folder.
Put it in the scripts folder and try it with one job.
If it produces output (visible in History), then all is OK for SABnzbd.

Sorry about that. This is all new to me, and a bit confusing :-\

The summary tells me the following (with the SABtoSicbeard.exe post processing script):

Code: Select all

Completed	2011-07-02 09:51:39
Name	xxxxxxxxxxxx S01E09 PROPER 720p HDTV x264-ORENJI
Size	1.6 GB
Status	Completed
Category	tv
Path	E:\NZB\Complete\xxxxxxx S01E09 PROPER 720p HDTV x264-ORENJI
Download Downloaded in 26 minutes 43 seconds at an average of 1.0 MB/s
43 articles were missing
Repair [xxxxxxxxx.s01e09.720p.hdtv.x264-orenji] Repaired in 1 minute 14 seconds
Unpack [xxxxxxxxx.s01e09.720p.hdtv.x264-orenji] Unpacked 1 files/folders in 11 seconds

The script info is as follows:

Code: Select all

xxxxxxxxxx S01E08 720p HDTV DD5 1 x264-EbP
           Loading config from C:\MC\SABnzbd\Scripts\autoProcessTV.cfg

</head>

</html>
Looks like there is two problems here.
1. The correct script is not loaded. As you can see in my Categories screen shot, I have selected the SABtoSickbeard.exe script, but perhaps it defaults to autoProcessTV.cfg because of the line above?
2. There is a problem with the script it self. Not much to think about, as it's the wrong script though.

I changed the script to "Sample-PostProc.cmd" as Spypike suggested, and started downloading of another show. Here is that summary:

Code: Select all

Completed	2011-07-04 03:57:54
Name	xxxxxxxxxx Part06 720p HDTV x264-IMMERSE
Size	1.5 GB
Status	Completed
Category	tv
Path	E:\NZB\Complete\xxxxxxxxxxxxPart06 720p HDTV x264-IMMERSE
Download Downloaded in 24 minutes 37 seconds at an average of 1.0 MB/s
Repair [xxxxxxxx.part06.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse] Quick Check OK
Unpack [xxxxxxxx.part06.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse] Unpacked 1 files/folders in 10 seconds
Script The seventh parameter (status) = 0 (More)
Script summary:

Code: Select all

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Pt I 720p HDTV X264-DIMENSION

Running in directory "C:\MC\SABnzbd\Scripts\"

The first parameter (result-dir) = "E:\NZB\Complete\xxxxxxxxxxxx Pt I 720p HDTV X264-DIMENSION"
The second parameter (nzb-name) = xxxxxxxxxxx.Pt.I.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.nzb
The third parameter (nice name) = "xxxxxxxxx Pt I 720p HDTV X264-DIMENSION"
The fourth parameter (newzbin #) = ""
The fifth parameter (category) = tv
The sixth parameter (group) = alt.binaries.teevee
The seventh parameter (status) = 0
There is no new errors in the Debug/Error/Info log files, so this last script seems to work ok. I'm not sure at all what the actual processes are after this downloads is unpacked and checked though. So, I have a hard time understanding and figuring out this on my own. Sorry about that.
I'll report the same thing on the Sickbeard forums. Perhaps they have an idea of the script problems.

To test this post processing scripts, it would be handy to be able to kick start the post processing again at will. Is there any way to do that, without having to add new series, wait for the download and so on?
