I'm using Windows 7 and I cant seem to allow access to SAB from my IP, localhost:port works fine. The same goes for Sick Beard and CouchPotato.
Tried searching but with no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Cant access anything from an IP address..

Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
Are you using the correct IP?
For SABnzbd you can use 0.0.0.0.
For SABnzbd you can use 0.0.0.0.
Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
I can access everything fine locally but I'm talking about from another PC using the IP which SAB is installed on.. Or am i trying to do something which isn't possible?
Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
0.0.0.0 should enable that.
But you may have to tell your software firewall to play nice with the trio.

Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
Sorry I didn't realise that, I tried putting http://0.0.0.0:9001/ into my browser but Chrome gives 'This web page is not available' - 9001 is the port I use...
Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
"0.0.0.0" should be filled out in SABnzbd. It's techno speak for "any IP address".Jleagle wrote: Sorry I didn't realise that, I tried putting http://0.0.0.0:9001/ into my browser but Chrome gives 'This web page is not available' - 9001 is the port I use...
In your webbrowser, you should fill out the IP address of your computer running SABnzbd. On that computer, start with 127.0.0.1 and the correct port. If that works, proceed to your LAN address (probably 192.168.x.y). If that works, use that IP address from other computers on your LAN.
FYI: you can find your LAN IP address with "ipconfig" (Windows) or "ifconfig" (*ix).

Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
Okay I have set the "SABnzbd Host" to "0.0.0.0" and I can access SAB from the LAN IP http://192.168.1.3
I am only trying at the moment from a single computer, would this work if the computers were connected by a wireless router?
Is there a way to access SAB over the internet instead of a network?
Thanks.

Re: Cant access anything from an IP address..
Yes, it will work via wireless (as long as the wireless is on the same LAN / same IP range, which it probably is).Jleagle wrote: Okay I have set the "SABnzbd Host" to "0.0.0.0" and I can access SAB from the LAN IP http://192.168.1.3

Access from Internet: yes, that's possible. You need to set up port forwarding in your modem/router/NAT-device (see http://portforward.com/ . Attention: this is *not* SAB related, and you won't find much help in this forum), and your PC running SABnzbd should probably have a fixed IP address (probably most wise to take care of that in your modem again. See your modem manual how to do that).
Oh, FWIW: if you use IPv6 (which you probably don't use), you will not need port forwarding etc.
