First of all I am fairly new to this whole scene. I have been using Sabnzbd for a little over a month now and any problems thus far I have been able to handle. I found a similar post with my problem here http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=4326.0 I looked through it and tried the things it suggested but still have the same issues. Before I detail the problem a bit here is the requested info from the forum posting guide.
Version: (Ex: 0.5.0 Final) 0.6.4 will be switching to 0.6.5 as soon as this current crap gets sorted out
OS: (Ex: Windows XP SP2, OSX Leopard, Ubuntu Gutsy) windows 7 32bit
Install-type: (Ex: Windows Installer, Windows zip, OSx .app, OSx source, python source, linux repository, NAS package) windows installer
Skin (if applicable): (Ex: Default, Plush, Smpl) plush-gold
Firewall Software: (Ex: None, XP SP2 Firewall, Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security, Kerio) windows 7 firewall with avast antivirus
Are you using IPV6? (yes/no - most likely no) no
Is the issue reproducible? (yes/no) yes? in that I have tried different stuff and it keeps doing it.
So I have had no un-fixable problems up until last night. Last eve I got to thinking about my download speed and how I seem to be stuck at about 964kb downloading speeds. I pay for about twice that speed with my internet so I says to myself "what gives?". You would think I would know better by now.... So looking around I found a Sabnzbd FAQ post that suggested fiddling with the amount of connections I use. Newshosting gives me 30 and I have always just left it at 30. I tried lowering the number of connections in increments of 5. After I got down to about 15 I had not really noticed a difference. I got up from the computer at this point and ate some dinner and when I came back the last few things in my queue had stalled out. Sabnzbd said I had 20 warnings (I had eventually just left the number of connections at 20) So I looked and it said I too many connections to server. I have logged into my newshosting account and I still have plenty of bandwidth so there is no problem on that end of things that I can see. I tried downloading grabit to see if maybe it was just Sabnzbd with the issue but well apparently their software hates me and seems to think it cant handle anything over 502 bytes. No doubt there is a way to fix this but I was getting pretty irritated. Also grabit looks like crap and Sabnzbd freakin rocks. Any suggestions? Should I go ahead and instal 0.6.5 before continuing to diagnose? I downloaded the file just haven't installed it yet.
Thanks in advance

Re: Too many connections to server
First check: is it your own newsserver account? Is anybody else or any other computer using it?
If not: in SABnzbd, lower the number of connections to 5, reboot your computer, reboot your modem, and try again.

Re: Too many connections to server
It looks like I may have solved it. Part of the confusion came from what I view as me not getting my full free trial. It is my account though. I think I may have it solved. Thanks. The people at newshosting.com are kinda rude though... then again if I was in customer support I dunno if I would be super pleasant either.
