I've noticed a large number of blue screen incidents on my normally stable system since I updated to 0.6.2. Removing sabnzbd restored stability and updating to 0.6.5 then reintroduced the symptoms. The blue screens did not all seem to be the same crash, but there was no mistaking the culprit. Scanning the forums I do not see anyone else noticing this. Am I alone?
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.
Blue Screen Issues after installing 0.6.2/0.6.5.

Re: Blue Screen Issues after installing 0.6.2/0.6.5.
Nowadays bluescreens are very very rarely caused by applications.
SABnzbd taxes the system quite heavily:
- network connection
- memory: especially by running the par2 and unrar programs
- the disk channel: by writing lots of large and small files.
Check hardware and drivers.
Install an alternative Usenet program and see what happens.

Re: Blue Screen Issues after installing 0.6.2/0.6.5.
I definitely agree with you. It is actually quite hard for a program to cause a BSOD. Even a programming language which is after all encapsulated within it's own run time interpreter (is this PERL? I am not familiar with the architecture). However, all I can say, is with 0.6.2, and then 0.6.5, this is what I noticed. Now, it may be sabnzbd is using some really infrequent calls or modules on my system, which are bringing out an inherent hardware issue, but the fact remains that I install sabnzbd and the BSOD occurs, remove it and my system is a stable as a rock.
My system is stressed sometime, I make a lot of use of networking but I have no issues without this program installed. Maybe time will tell. And I will also run some serious hardware diagnostics when I have time.

What happens if you go back to 0.5.6?
Re: Blue Screen Issues after installing 0.6.2/0.6.5.
Good question, but I don't really want to do this. Instead I'm putting 0.6.5 on a separate small XP box to handle the downloads offline from my main PC. That way I can power off the big one when I am not using it and not worry about missing stuff. I travel a bit and the rest of the family is used to having stuff available!
