Guys,
I searched but found no definitive answer... Is anyone else having this issue?
I am running Mythbuntu Lucid (10.04 LTS) and Sabnzbdplus .06. I am not having a problem with playing videos. Videos play fine in Mythbuntu but anytime I have to do anything involving my wireless keyboard/mouse combo while a download is going on, the mouse barely works. Same thing with the keyboard.
The keyboard/mouse combo is the btc 9019urf. Works great when Im not downloading something.
Load average is at 64% on this machine. It has a quadcore cpu and 8gig of ram so I really don't think those are the problem. My swap is not being used because I have more than enough ram.
I read a bit about ionice and was wondering if there is a way to give the keyboard/mouse higher priority?
Thanks.
Sabnzbdplus bogs down wireless keyboard/mouse terribly when downloading (linux)

Re: Sabnzbdplus bogs down wireless keyboard/mouse terribly when downloading (linux)
SABnzbd is rather CPU hungry, but I think it's unlikely that it slows down mouse/kb handling.
It suggests that something is wrong with the OS (or the drivers).
SABnzbd is capable of making systems unresponsive but that usually has
to do with saturation of the disk channel.
"ionice" can help in that area.
Still, this should have no effect on kb/mouse handling.

Thanks for your reply...
I will look into the O.S. That very well could be the issue.
