Issues with server that aren't resolving

Post by bwilson »

1. Cannot disable a server that does not resolve.
2. If unresolvable server is set as a fill server, any queue items will hang if it tries to use it.

Version: 0.6.1 and 0.6.2
OS: Windows 7
Install-type: Windows Installer
Firewall Software: None
Are you using IPV6? No
Is the issue reproducible? Yes

Make it an "optional" server.
SABnzbd will ignore it after some time, when it's not on-line.

I still can't save any changes to the server via Plush, but I manually enabled it again after changing it to an optional server.  Hopefully that does the trick. Thanks.

I misunderstood your question.
*Because* the address doesn't resolve, SABnzbd refuses to save the new settings.
You're right about that.
I'll see what I can do.
It is a bit of a weird problem though, why doesn't it resolve?
Do you have IPV6 on and off at times?

Nothing quite as interesting, every now and then the provider just dies for a couple days. Normally I get an auth error, but sometimes the dns fails. Not sure why either happens, aside from it being a free-ish account.

OK, weird.
Well, it will be fixed in 0.6.3.
