6.1 Not Processing Downloads

Post by engelkie »

Don't know if this is a bug? So, here is the problem...

I installed 6.1 a couple of days ago, and it was going GREAT! But from last night, whenever a download completes, it stays unprocessed in the incomplete folder. It gets removed from the Q as if it downloaded successfully. If I browse to the incomplete folder, I see a folder per NZB downloaded. In each folder there is only an _Admin_ folder. And in that folder, there are huge amount of smaller files and the NZB compressed.

If I check the size of the _Admin_ folder, it is the size of the original download size. How can I get these files processed, so that I end up with the final files (RAR, ZIP, etc.)? It is a few gigs of downloads, and do not want to waste time downloading them again.

Any help will be appreciated!

Did they disappear completely from the queue?
Did you restart SABnzbd?
After that, do you see any "orphanded" items on the "Status" page, tab Queue Repair?

Yes, they disappeared completely, as if downloaded successfully. But doesn't appear in the History.

They all come up as orphaned. But am too cautious to click the repair  ???

OK, restarted SABNZBd now... Web interface isn't working but the process is consuming a constant 25% of the CPU. Hopefully it is doing something.  :-\

SABNZBd restarted now... But deleted all the files in the incomplete folder, all 45GB of it!!!

And to top it off, it deleted my whole Q as well, only stuff remaining is the stuff it found in the incomplete folder (all with 0% downloaded). Only thing left is the history.

I think I might have a possible explanation, after digging around some bit...

All the jobs that stayed in the incomplete folder were jobs that were imported from the 5.6 Q... It did not pre-create the folders required for those jobs. It was going fine in the beginning because all the stuff that downloaded was added after the 6.1 upgrade. Then after the restart, it only added the stuff to the Q that had their folders created in the incomplete folder and all the stuff imported was gone, because they didn't have any folders.

Hope this helps?

I understand that something went wrong during the upgrade.
The weird thing is that 0.6.0 must have placed all these files in the __admin__ folders
(those files are the individual articles).
Somehow it never comes to the conclusion to assemble the articles to actual files.
Normally there's only one reason it may do that.
That is when a) each file as one or more missing articles *and*
b) one of your servers refuses to tell whether it has the article or not.
Typically this happens when a primary or backup server goes off-line
and none of the others have the article.

This is not a satisfactory explanation because your new entries do complete properly.

If you're still interested in saving your downloaded data, let me know.
Salvaging may not be easy though.
