Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.

Killing the process deletes the queue
Well the title pretty much says it all. If I kill the process rather than shut down my queue gets deleted. Any chance this could be fixed in the next rc?

There's nothing to fix.
You shouldn't be killing SABnzbd point blank.
It won't have the chance to save its bookkeeping.
You can repair the lost queue in release 0.6.0 though.
