Set up problems

Hello,

Total noob here but trying to set up at the moment.

I've subscribed to newzbin and giganews and downloaded SABnzbd.

I've set up my server details etc. but when I download at nbz file and open it with SABnzbd the download just doesn't start.

I'm on a Windows 7 computer - 64 bit system. My antivirus and firewall is BullGuard - it doesn't appear to be blocking anything but I may be wrong.

I've changed the .ini to reflect the 64 bit system problem but that doesn't seem to have made a difference.

If anyone has any ideas or can guide me through I'd really appreciated,

What do you see in the "Connections" page, any server connections open?
Are you sure the NZB is within the retention time of your Usenet provider?
How old does SABnzbd say it is?

It doesn't say anything in the "Connections" page...

I've also tried downloading recent NZB files - the one at the top of my queue is 1 day old...

It says SABnzd is idle.

Any help appreciated - also thanks for getting back to me so quickly

Does the "Test Server" button in Config->Servers give any result?

Check whether individual NZbs aren't paused.
Check the overall pause.
Make sure that setting "Only get articles of the top of the queue" in Config->Switches is off.
Restart SABnzbd.

I've done all of the below but still no luck...

I've even deleted all of the nzb files in my queue and adding new (different ones) in.

Not sure if the Queue number is of any significance but it says:
Queue: 4525.11/4525.11

That's just the Queue size.
Are jobs individually paused? (Click the pause/play toggle at the front of the name).

Otherwise try the new Beta release.
