Hi there,
I'm new to the Newsgroup scene and slowly figuring things out but I'm having some issues with my download speed.
My plan with my ISP is up to 15 Mbps download speed and when I do test I get anywhere from 9-15 Mbps depending on the server city
I test from. I currently have a Diamond account with Giganews and should be able to easily get the download speed I pay for.
But, from what I've seen so far, I'm averaging 1.5-1.8Mbps. If I can't get the speeds I pay for, I should just go back to torrents.
Please excuse my ignorance, I am new and would love some help.
Thanks in advance,
Skell.

Re: Download Speed Issues
Wow, that's great to hear.
I feel like a total turd, I thought I looked up enough on the subject but totally missed that.
Thanks again for putting up with this noob.
Cheers

Re: Download Speed Issues
The mistake is easy to make.
ISPs like bits/sec because it makes the numbers look bigger.
We don't have a marketing department, so we just show you the real thing: Bytes/sec
