Problem with downloaded files

Post by roeiegans »

I downloaded four movies yesterday using SABNZB 0.5.4 from a Synology NAS. The movies were posted some 25 days ago. The retention of my payserver is more than sufficient for this. However all downloads fail with the error, that there are to few repair-blocks. If I look at the rar-files in Explorer I see the rar-files all are a different size which is very strange.

If I download the same movies on my computer from the same payserver using Grabit, with the same credentials, all rar-files coming in are the same size. Parring and unrarring goes without any problems. Is this a bug in SABnzb or why don't the files arrive complete in SABnzb? Maybe I should upgrade to SABnzb 0.5.6? However don't know how to upgrade  :-\

Thanks in advance...

Are you sure you used the exact same NZB  file for SABnzbd and Grabit?
Did you try one of the failing NZB files again with SABnzbd?
Did you see any warnings about incorrect or missing articles on SABnzbd?
Did you see any warnings about duplicate articles for the same file segment?

Just saying "it doesn't work" helps no one.

OK, sorry, quite new to Sabnzb. I used the exact same NZB-files. I downloaded the NZB's on my local PC from binsearch and transferred them over, so they were still on my desktop. I just tried again with one of these exact same NZB on my NAS using Sabnzb and I again get a _FAILED_ folder and on the site at history I again get the error to few repair blocks (in dutch). The speed I get with Sabnzb is great (6,0MB/s+), it just seems like it doesn't get everything. Tried it on the desktop almost immediatly afterwards again as well, perfectly... :-\

In the log I see the next errors multiple times:
2011-01-12 23:17:09,852
WARNING:
missing

Don't know if this is enough log info? Where can I see more if needed?

Well, that does mean that the articles are not on the server.
If you're sure they are, email the NZB in question to bugs at sabnzbd.org and I'll have a look.

OK... Some more info... I just updated SABnzb to the latest version. I tried several newly created NZB's for different movies again and they all go wrong with Synology in combination with SABnzb. I get the same error-messages with all of them. It doesn't matter if I upload the NZB using the webinterface or the watched folder. Not a single download comes in OK...

But I also see some new errors in the log:

FOUT:

My best translation in English for thes errors:

These last errors didn't occur before the update however (or I haven't noticed thembefore)...

You have problems with the access rights on your folders (or a full disk).

OK... need some help here. My disks have plenty of free room (RAID5 with 4 2Tb disks). So it must be the access rights I guess... What rights should be added? Does SABnzb need an account for this? I was under the impression, it runs under the admin/root account...

Can this be related to the update from 0.5.4 to 0.5.6?

It runs under the account you tell it to.
You'll need to find out under which account it runs and provide matching access rights.
I advise you not to store the "incomplete" part on the RAID array.
It's a waste of performance (due to the "raid"-ing) and several people have reported issues with that setup.
I'm not sure if Ubuntu's Python is compatibke with 2T drives.

OK, because you said the rights should be correctly set automatically (and obviously they didn't) I decided to uninstall and reinstall SABnzb. Now it works perfectly...

Thanks for your replies Shypike!!! They were helpfull. Topic can be closed!
