Hi,
I've got Sabnzbd working well right now, but I do have one issue. Because of the shares on my NAS and the way in which my media is structured, I had to configure Sabnzbd in such a way that meant that by default, completed downloads would go to '/share/' and then the specific share would be determined by the category. This works well, as long as I select the category for the download.
My issue comes when I forget to select a category (which is not auto selected by NZBMatrix), because Sabnzbd then tries to save move the completed file to '/share/' to which it does not have rights (and I can't seem to remedy this - and I'm not sure I should for security reasons?). Ideally, what I'd like to do, is somehow specify the default completion folder as not being '/share/', but still be able to send my category completed files to their relevant locations based on '/share/'.
Any ideas?

Re: Default completed download folder
You'll need to wait for release 0.6.0
A temporary work-around:
Set the download folder to /share/default and all the others to names like ../type1 ../type2 etc.

Re: Default completed download folder
Hello Shypike
Nice site and great resource.
I too am having this problem. My Pc laptop died today and seemed to have Sabnzbd running nicely.
I'd grab an nzb from nzbmatrix just by clicking on the sabnzb icon next to it on their site and it would automatically down load to a path on my Qnap Nas called Qdownload/sabnzbd/complete.
I am now using a mac and have updated my python and sabnzbd packages to the latest versions (2.7.1 & 0.5.6R2 respectively).
I've been in the folder configuration page for the last 3 hours and have tried various combinations of folder paths but the down load path keeps reverting back to the default on my Mac rather than the one specified on the NAS.
Most recently tried path is "Volumes/NASBDA06C/Qdownload/sabnzbd/complete" without the quote marks of course...but no joy. The whole download process works just fine...i just cant download to where i NEED to download to.
What am i doing wrong???? I can't check how i had it set up on my pc as thats now dead...RIP...
Please let me know if you need any more info to assist me.
Most grateful for your time in advance.

Re: Default completed download folder
The right path is:
/Volumes/NASBDA06C/Qdownload/sabnzbd/complete
Start with a slash and don't use quotes.

Re: Default completed download folder
HI shypike...Thanks for responding...I'd already tried that and it just wouldn't take...I tried /share/Qdownload/sabnzbd/complete/ and this is now working so thanks for the direction all the same.shypike wrote: The right path is:

Now i have the problem of not being able to locate the test downloads that i made whilst trying to configure this...here's an example of the path:
/root/.sabnzbd/Volumes/Qdownload/sabnzbd/complete/'foldername'...where foldername (without quote marks is...well, the downloaded folder)
Is there a way for me to access this root folder and clear it out?
Thanks again for the help

Re: Default completed download folder
The general way to access Linux based NAS systems
is through a terminal session, tty or secure shell.
How did you install SABnzbd on the NAS?
That's usually through a terminal session.

Re: Default completed download folder
Hi
All packages installed on the Qnap NAS are done via its own applications install interface. They come zipped up and you just browse to them and it does the rest.
I have little to no experience with Terminal functionality although i'm willing to try if you can direct me?
Thanks

Re: Default completed download folder
It's better that you ask this question on the QNAP forum.
I'm not familiar at all with this device.
