Hi, I'm on os x leopard and when I want to close sabnzbd+ 0.3.4 (in safari) it won't shutdown.
Is there an option like force shutdown? maybe a terminal cmd?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

I've noticed that when starting sabnzbd from terminal that you have to leave the terminal open in order to succesfully quit the program in the browser.

This is a Unix feature. You need to start SABnzbd in daemon mode (-d) to have it survive its invoking terminal.

Or you can try the build for osx, check my website... This is a standalone application for macosx (10.5 only).
