Problems downloading large collections (10+ GB)

Post by pace »

Hi and thanks for an amazing software.
I have it installed on a server-pc using Windows 7 x64 and two drives, one ssd system drive and a larger one for storage where I also have my downloads-folder.

The problem I'm having is that any larger collection (~10 GB) I try to download ends up getting lost and presenting the error below.

Code: Select all

2010-11-20 20:44:43,091::ERROR::[postproc:369] Det gick inte att döpa om (Translation: Could not rename)"*** yEnc (1+1) till "*** yEnc (1+1)
2010-11-20 20:44:43,092::INFO::[postproc:370] Traceback:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "sabnzbd\postproc.pyo", line 366, in run
File "sabnzbd\misc.pyo", line 1352, in renamer
WindowsError: [Error 123] The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
The client presents the following error message
"out of your server's retention"

I'm using Astraweb as my Usenet provider and have ni anti virus software installed as of yet. (Although the same error presented when I was using microsoft security essential prior to reformatting and reinstalling windows).

Smaller collections (~ 1 GB) works well but every bigger one seems to fail for some reaseon.
Any help on the subject would be appreciated!

It looks like the folder name contains "*" characters, which no OS allows.
I would need to see more of the logging to understand what is going on.
Also, I don't think the size of the job has any influence.

Ok, just thought I'd post to tell how the issue was solved for me.

After having discussed it with shypike I lowered the folder max length value.
This however, left me with a lot of crc-errors which I found out was caused by a faulty ram-module.

Now everything works like a charm and I couldn't be more pleased!
