Web access not working on LAN

Post by knifey »

Hello,

I have sabnzbd installed on a windows home server and access it from a PC on the same LAN.

When I RDC into the server and go to localhost everything is working just fine, but when I try an access it from a Win 7 PC it never connects, although Sickbeard and Couch Potato both work.

I have reinstalled sab and remote access works, but as soon as I restart the server I'm back to square 1.

Have disabled the firewall so can rule that out - sab is running on port 8080 and I get no luck with a different port. Problem was there on release 0.5.4 and is still there on 5.6

Any suggestions?

What did you use as "host" name?
Use the true IP or 0.0.0.0. On some systems, using the hostname doesn't work.
Check SABnzbd's log file for clues.
You say: "as soon as I restart the server, I'm back to square one".
How do you start SABnzbd?

Thanks for the reply,

IP doesn't work either I'm afraid.

I did have it set up as a service and I thought that might've been the problem so I just chucked it into the startup folder so it starts with windows.

Did you set the service to start automatically?
BTW: release 0.6.0 will have proper service support.

I did - had the exact same results as I'm having now (works fine on the server itself but nowhere else).
