News Host information...

Post by srzbznz »

Sorry, I'm pretty new to this but I have been looking for hours and I can't seem to find out how on earth people find the server info from news hosts.

ETC.. HOST/PORT/CONNECTIONS/SSL AVAILABILITY

I am stuck at the quick-setup wizard because I have no idea what to fill in for these boxes.

I've made accounts with nzbs.org and newzbin and scoured their sites for this information but to no avail..

Thanks in advance

\Your ISP may have a free server, check their web site.
They should also list their server info.

For most servers you need to pay.
For example: http://www.giganews.com/faq.html#q5.1

Those aren't hosts. Those are indexers.

You need an actual host like Giganews, PowerUsenet, Supernews, Astraweb, Blocknews, Newshosting, etc etc.

Best deal / service right now is Supernews.
