Change API manually..is it possible?

hi guys
i've a Qnap NAS with sabnzbd installed on.
this is my data:
Version: 0.5.3
OS: Qnap Linux OS
Install-type: NAS package QPKG
Skin: Default
Firewall Software: Netgear Router internal firewall integrated
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? i think so


i'm also registered in nzbmatrix website. In the website account i know i cannot change API generated key, but i remember in old sabnzb versions i could change API key manually, without click generate button.
so if i want to pair the API from website to api from sabnzb how i can do?

You question is a bit confusing.
If you want to change SABnzbd's own API-key, you can still do that in Config->General.
The nzbmatrix API key if a different thing and can only be changed by using the nzbmatrix web-site.
After changing you can copy-paste the key into Config->Index Sites.

i tried to change api in sabnzbd config > general panel but i can only use the automatic generator button. i cannot modify it manually...or maybe i do something wrong... i noticed i can modify the key but when i press Enter or Save Change it turn back...

The API key is a random number, you cannot edit it, but only generate a new one.
Why would you want to edit it?
I hope you are not trying to put the nzbmatrix key in here.

mmm ok from your last period i think i want to try to make something that is not good...

the problem come out from nzbstatus addon for firefox. i configured it optimally but when i go in nzbmatrix site, and i click on the sabnzb icon appers near an nzb download i got error login in sabnzb consolle....
now i tried another firefox addon (sabnzbdfox) and this with the sabnzb api key works great...
there isn't any new sab icon near downloads but when i click on download nzb link it automatically added to queue..without errors...
so i will use that plugin

ps: i watched on firefox addon website and another 1 person had the same problem... nzbdstatus plugin didn't work also with correct api key...

The SABnzbd APi-key and the nzbmatrix api-key are two different things that have no relationship.
nzbstatus needs to have the SABnzbd api-key to talk to SABnzbd.
Should nzbstatus talk to nzbmatrix as well, it would need the nzbmatrix apikey.

If nzbstatus doesn't work properly, that's not something we can solve.
Talk to it's author instead.
