Movie sorting help

Post by splatz »

Hi All,

I'd like my movies sorted so that the Movie name is followed by the original release name in brackets, with the original files un-renamed.  This way MetaBrowser will pick it up while still preserving the original release name.

Desired output:
Movie Name [Movie.Name.DVDRip.XviD-RlsGroup]\

My sort string is:
%title [%fn]\

But it creates this folder:
Movie Name Dvdrip Xvid-RlsGroup [%fn]\

It doesn't remove "DVDRip", "XviD", "RlsGroup", and it also doesn't replace %fn with the actual filename.

This sort string is located in Generic Sorting, and I have the Enable Movie Sorting option checked.  The movies are downloaded under the movie category.

Any suggestions?

Bump

I am really interested in the solution to this problem since I'm experiencing the same thing myself. I'm running Windows 7.

Thanks for an otherwise awesome program!

%fn is only valid for downloads that result in a single file (like an AVI or MKV).
Additional strings in the folder name can only be removed with a user script.
We are planning a customizable name filter for a later release.
