Hi,
I'm having a special Issue about sabnzbd with ipv6 on a NAS. Here is my configuration :
I run sabnzbd on a QNAP Nas 219P. This works perfectly well, but I m trying a new setup with IPv6
My ISP (Free.fr) provides a natural ipv6 acces to internet (not 6to4 tunnels). This works I can easily ping6 a free usenet server :
PING newszilla.ipv6.xs4all.nl(newszilla.ipv6.xs4all.nl) 56 data bytes
64 bytes from newszilla.ipv6.xs4all.nl: icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=51.9 ms
I want now to add this server to my sabnzbd servers, and it cannot resolve this adress (it's normal it's ipv6).
I saw on forums that I must change the 'listen on' parameter in the general config. I tried '::' or '[::]' doesnt work ...
Can anyone help me ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Sabnzbd 0.5 On NAS ipv6 issue
SABnzbd internal web server and communication with Usenet servers are two independent things.
Provided the NAS supports ipv6 and the Python on the NAS supports it properly too,
there should not be a problem.
Does the NAS support ipv6 at all?
What you call the "listen" parameter is for the internal webserver, which need not use ipv6.

Re: Sabnzbd 0.5 On NAS ipv6 issue
A NAS doing IPv6? I would be surprised and happy to see that. The fact that your ISP free.fr supports IPv6 (which is good), does not prove that each network device (like NAS) understands IPv6.
So: the ping you show; is it from the NAS, or from a PC?

Re: Sabnzbd 0.5 On NAS ipv6 issue
Hmm, http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=32367 seems to suggest the QNAP can indeed do IPv6.
@cereal: can you show screendumps of:
1) the QNAP webgui showing it's IPv6 address
2) the SABnzbd page showing the server settings, for example for newszilla.ipv6.xs4all.nl

Re: Sabnzbd 0.5 On NAS ipv6 issue
Two mistakes in your setup:
1) It's "newszilla6.xs4all" (not "newszilla.ipv6.xs4all.nl)
2) Do not use a username nor password
