Accessing Sabnzbd from another computer on the same network (out of ideas)

Hey Guys,

I'm new to Sabnzbd, and am using it mainly for it's functionality with sickbeard.
Still relatively new with it but pretty impressed so far. (have pretty much just said goodbye to alt.binz)

I am having an issue though, which seems easy to set up, however i cant get it to work and it's annoying the hell outta me.

As the subject suggests, i'm unable to access sabnzbd from any other computer on the network.
I do not wish to access it from an external network/internet (yet) and am just looking to access it from my laptop whilst it runs on the server

Now i've checked quite a few other threads on this site, and after following all the advice, for some reason cannot connect to sabnzbd from my laptop.

My Setup
Server Running SABnzbd & Sickbeard
Sab on port 8080
Sickbeard on port 8081.
Ip address is static at 10.1.1.11 (which is also what i used for SABnzb Host in config)

Now ports i dont think are an issue, because i can connect remotely to sickbeard (on port 8081)
for arguements sake i swapped the ports in the programs, rebooted them and i was still able to connect to sickbeard (now port 8080) yet still unable to connect to sabnzbd.

i do try to connect to sabnzbd at the address of http://10.1.1.11:8080/sabnzbd/
I dont have usernames or passwords set up at the moment (although have tried with and without)
Have also tried changing the SABnzbd host to "" & 0.0.0.0 and obviously rebooted each time with no effect.

I'm pretty much out of ideas.  Its frustrating right now because sickbeard was so simple to set up, and it seems as though sabnzbd should be very similar, but for some reason i just cannot load the page from my laptop.

I am using the API key, but have also tried disabling that to see if i could get it to work...i could not.

Just some information, running 0.5.3 version of sabnzbd
My Server is running Windows 7 (32 Bit)
My Laptop is running Windows 7 (64 Bit)
Have also tried connecting with my other computer which runs Windows 7 (32 Bit)

Any advice would be fantastic. This program in conjunction with sickbeard is making everything so much easier!  My TV Show archive can now look after itself, now if only someone would let me know a program that auto sorts/renames and scrapes data for any movie i download, my downloads would be pretty much perfect

Firewall Software: None
Are you using IPV6? No
Is the issue reproducible? Yes

No firewall? Not even the Windows Firewall?
You need to tell your firewall about SABnzbd.

Sorry, yes windows firewall.  No other firewall software though.
I'll have a look at it.  I have set up both sabnzbd and sickbeard the same though, which is why i have looked into the firewall too much.

just clarifying, i need to check the firewall on my server yes?

Wowee, that was simple.  Stupid me looking over the simple things and ASSUMING it was set up correctly.

Don't really know why firewall block SAB and not Sickbeard, but at is good now.

Windows firewall only blocks outside traffic.
If a program listens only on localhost, WF doesn't interfere.
Is SickBeard on localhost?

yeah sickbeard is localhost.  and i can easily connect to that with the server ip.

Loving SAB, being able to download nzb's on my laptop just being on my home network is pretty handy. will rarely have to remote onto the server now!!!
