How to Bind SABNZBD+ to one IP.

Post by xred »

Hi

I have a machine with 2 WAN connections (cable / DSL).  Is there any easy way to get SABNZBD+ to bind to the the specific interface I want it to use?  I tried using the "listen on IP" setting but that only seems to control which interfaces the WebUI is available on and not the connection it uses for actual downloading.

For anyone familiar with UTorrent, I am looking at functionality equivalent to what they offer in the net_bind_IP and net_outgoing_IP functions they offer in their advanced settings.

TIA

/x

No, this has been asked before.
The trouble is that we would have to rewrite a substantial part
of low level code from the program language's run-time library.
We're not prepared to do that.

BTW: it should be possible to setup fixed routes,
although I'm not familiar with these matters.

Thanks.  Setting up the route isn't always reliable as the newsgroup server IP's often change.  I've tried pinging the server host name and creating a static route to the IP returned, only to find out the IP it was resolving to has changed and that SABNZBD+ is now using the "wrong" interface on my setup.
