Can't remote connect to sabnzbd

Post by nu_gen68 »

I can't access sabnzbd from a remote computer outside my network.
I can access sabnzbd on the computer and local network.

My sabnzbd settings are
Sabnzbd host: 0.0.0.0 / blank / local ip (tried all three)

Router has the local ip set as DMZ.

sabnzbd 0.5.2RC1

Please help.

DMZ should not be necessary (and quite risky).
You should setup port-forwarding.

Any of the three IP settings should work, and if it works
within your LAN, it should be OK.
However, check your firewall. Even the built-in Windows firewall
distinguishes between access for local systems and "the internet".
Make sure the permissions are right.

What port are you listening on? Try changing it and restarting SABnzbd. Some ISP's block various ports, so try something high and unused, like a random 5 digit port.

Dope. I just checked my Windows firewall and it was turned on.
Added the permission and works perfectly fine now.

Thanks.
