I'm using SABnzbd on a Synology DS109j with a 1TB disk. DM 2.3 and SABnzbd are installed without any errors and as 'standard'. When SABnzbd starts downloading, the speed fluctuates between 0KB/s or 1KB/s and 230KB/s. When using Newsbin f.e. on my PC, I get speeds of 14 MB/s. When I use the download option from DM 2.3 I get approx 1.5MB/s. Does anyone have any suggestions or is this the limitation of the DS109j?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

Comparing a PC and such a NAS is comparing apples and pears.
SABnzbd isn't very suited for low power systems with tiny memories.
It runs OK on the average Atom CPU with 256M of memory.
I think the 109 has 32M of memory, very little. The CPU could be OK.
I'm surprised SABnzbd works at all on it.
