Silent Crash on OSX Snow Leopard Server

I run sabnzbd on Snow Leopard Server (10.6.3). And i got following issues:

1. Sabnzbd wont launch when i try to launch the app from the Application folder. I have to open package contents an run the unix file directly, otherwise sabnzbd wont launch at all. When i did like that, actually sabnzbd worked quite well and stable.

2. Since a few days, sabnzbd crashes silently. I just got the terminal message like this:

So this happens about 10 or 20 seconds after launch. in that small timeframe the application works normally. After that it crashes without notice. I have to kill the task in the taskmanager, then i can launch the unix file again. But again, after a few seconds it crashes again. I did also install 0.5.1 RC2, but that did not change anything.

So, who could help me with this? this issue makes sabnzbd quite unuseable form me :-(

Your system doesn't have the HOME variable set, which is very unusual.
SABnzbd needs this to find your settings folder.
The alternative is to start it with the -f folder parameter.
Where folder is the folder where your sabnzbd.ini file is.
