I recently upgraded to SABnzbd 0.5.0 and since then get a lot of errors like:
Failed opening main archive (encrypted or damaged)
Download failed - Out of your server's retention?
Downloading the same NZB's on another PC running XP and SABnzbd 0.4.x using the same newsserver don't give any problems.
Any ideas?

The newsserver is newshosting.com.
I have this server for a couple of years and it almost never failed me.
So I doubt this has got something to do with this particular newsserver.
About the errors...
Failed opening main archive
----------------------------------------
The files are downloaded into two separate directories called for example XXXXX and XXXXX.1.
After merging the files and a manual par and rar everything is okay.
The logfile shows:
- XXXXX - Failed opening main archive (encrypted or damaged) 932.88 MB Completed
Completed at 12:00:14 on Friday 12 March 2010
Download:
Downloaded in 1 hour 5 minutes at an average of 244.92 KB/s
Repair:
[XXXXX] Repair failed, not enough repair blocks (70 short)
Unpack:
[XXXXX] Failed opening main archive (encrypted or damaged)

After trying the same NZB a second time everything is okay.
