Execute a program with commands - postprocess
Execute a program with commands - postprocess
I know there is the script tool but even the simplest task of launching a program and sending the downloaded files to it with parameters of the executed program is extremely difficult if you have no programming skills. So most of us will not have the possibility to individually postprocess a file. If its possible to do something for all systems I do not know but I would find it very useful. A built in script if you like where you just set the program name and the input/output params.
Re: Execute a program with commands - postprocess
Not sure what you want.
The user scripts are for skilled users who want to implement features
beyond what SABnzbd offers.
What would a "built-in" script do?

Re: Execute a program with commands - postprocess
That’s the point experienced users who can code. With an internal script that can launch a program on the download with parameters would be useful i think. A very nice user is helping me to do just that in the scripting section. Alone it would be impossible for me even after reading some scripting books.
Its just an idea, there are nice people in your script section so not a problem for those who know. It would make SAB just more usefull for the average user as I am
