Sabnzbd starts as a service only to shut down immediately

Post by johnp2343 »

Used to have Sabnzbd 0.4x run as a service on a workstation without any problems.

I just recently installed Sabznbd 0.5 Beta 6 on my WHS. Runs beautifully as a program, am able to access it from any computer on my LAN.

Installed it as a service - when I start the service Sabnzbd.exe appears briefly in Taskmanager only to disappear. Reproducible.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you looked in SABnzbd's the log files?
Always worked OK on my WHS.

Yeah, did that. Doesn't even create a log file, even though it clearly ran briefly. Reproducible.
So, until someone finds a solution (or a new version comes out  ;D) I have put it into
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
with the -d -f parameters
and it starts and keeps running.

Thanks
