Used to have Sabnzbd 0.4x run as a service on a workstation without any problems.
I just recently installed Sabznbd 0.5 Beta 6 on my WHS. Runs beautifully as a program, am able to access it from any computer on my LAN.
Installed it as a service - when I start the service Sabnzbd.exe appears briefly in Taskmanager only to disappear. Reproducible.
Any help is appreciated.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

Have you looked in SABnzbd's the log files?

Yeah, did that. Doesn't even create a log file, even though it clearly ran briefly. Reproducible.shypike wrote: Have you looked in SABnzbd's the log files?

So, until someone finds a solution (or a new version comes out
) I have put it intoHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
with the -d -f parameters
and it starts and keeps running.
