Unable to start program

Post by CaJazzman »

After trying to setup the program, I get this message when I try to start it:
Welcome to SABnzbd.exe 0.4.11

SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server.
Port 8080 on localhost was tried , but it is not available.
Some other software uses the port or SABnzbd is already running.

Please restart SABnzbd with a different port number.

Press Startkey+R and type the line (example):
        "E:\Movies&Musik\Nzb\SABnzbd-0.4.11\SABnzbd.exe" --server localhost:8081

If you get this error message again, please try a different number.

Program did not start!
Any idea how I can correct this? I'm also unable to access the setup menu.

Did you do what the message suggested?
Press Startkey+R and type the line (example):
        "E:\Movies&Musik\Nzb\SABnzbd-0.4.11\SABnzbd.exe" --server localhost:8081
It looks like you have either some program using port 8080 (uTorrent perhaps)
or you have a interfering firewall program (not the Windows built-in one).
