i'm having some trouble downloading with SABnzdb 0.4.11, i've put in the ID from newzbin and hit add, it goes into the que but does not start downloading. it shows reamaining and total size but ETA is unknown
in the log file it shows
"7@news.usenetserver.com:119: Initiating connection"
"Thread 7@news.usenetserver.com:119: server closed connection"
over and over with each server, 10 connections in all.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

yes ssl is checked.
the only thing not defualt is when i installed sabnzbd it said my port 8080 was being used so it set itself to 8081.

win XP SP3
sabnzbd 0.4.11
windows firewall - on
running avg anti-virus, don't think its blocking anything cuase it never has before
i also opened 119 on my router to see if that worked but still nothing

Uncheck SSL for your server.
SSL is only allowed on newsservers that support it, and it is not generally available on port 119. I would check with your provider as to what ports they provide SSL on, if at all.

WOW so much for usenetserver changing my password.
after i signed up i changed my password like any normal person would do but it looks like it did take because i put in the orginal password from the e-mail and connected right away.

Many Usenet providers do not have the possibility to change your password...

ya, they didn't change my password, i did but it looks like it never accepted the new password i put in.
