Hi all, I need some help please!

I bought a Mac Mini over the weekend to use as a media server, all was going well until today when ive noticed that SAB isnt working properly.

Ive been using it on my MacBook happily for the past few months so installed on the Mini and copied all the settings over exactly as per the MacBook but for some reason it wont download properly, I keep getting the error message

WARNING [downloader] Thread X@secure.news.astraweb.com;563: failed to initialize

The the X before the @ is a number which starts at 1 then I get the same error message repeated with the number changed all the way to 29 so I assume it is connection numbers.

The download speed is zero most of the time but if I leave it every few minutes it has a burst of downloading before going back to zero and repeating the error messages.

I thought it might be the firewall on the Mini but ive checked that and its set to allow all incoming connections, ive also changed the port forwarding on my router to send to the Mini where it was set to the MacBook previously and ive checked and triple checked all the settings compared to the MacBook and everything is exactly the same.

And to check ive just used SAB on the MacBook and it works fine with no error messages

Ive even tried uninstalling SAB and starting again with no success, although all the settings were already in there when I reinstalled so I assume I may have to bin some setup files as well if anyone knows where they are located?

One thing I have noticed is that I cant close SAB it just sits with the spinning pinwheel until I force it to quit.

Please help its driving me mental  :'(

Try another skin instead of Plush, just to check.
Try "Default", because that's the simplest.

Try non-SSL connections, just to check.
BTW: When changing from SSL to non-SSL v.v., you need to change the port as well.

I don't understand the port-forwarding remark.
Post-forwarding is only needed when you want to expose the web-ui to the the outside world.
It has no relation to the downloading itself.

You should also check if you're not using all your allowed connections.
If you're downloading from your macbook and from you mac mini at the same time using max connections on both, you're server may kick you...

You don't need to redirect ports from you router, you can remove them and firewall should not be an issue.
