My watched folder in my SABnzb+ is Z:
Z: is a mapped drive from my home server (which SABnzb+ runs on) to my workstation where I actually do the dloading of nzb files
When running as a service and the server restarts SABnzb+ then can not see Z: as its not mapped yet. (mapping only occurs on login).
The simple fix would be to use the UNC path for the Watched Folder but apparently that is not possible in SABnzb+
Could we get SABnzb+ to allow UNC paths for Watched Folder?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

Services do not run under a user normal account.
The "local system account" has no access rights on your server.
It has nothing to do with SABnzbd.
UNC paths do work, but even for these you need proper credentials.
You need to run the service under a user account that has access to your server.
