No folders outside where Linux is installed.

Post by mcdanish »

I am trying to switch to basically anything else that Windows but I am now on my third Linux distro, Ubuntu. But on all ateemps I can NOT get Sabnzbd to store downloads on any drive exept the one where Linux is installed? In Windows I could get the downloads to be stored just where I wanted, even a TEMP folder on one drive and then Sabnzbd moved it to my NAS or D: drive when unpacked. Any help?? I would SO much like to stay on Linux but i am too much of a beginner, can´t even get my bluetooth trackball going at startup to use it right away but have to manually turn on bluetoot WITH MY TOUCHPAD and I HATE touchpads ;?=

This is a Linux question, not SABnzbd. And it's not easy: it has to with mount options of the drive, and with writing rights. And then settings things in fstab. Difficult stuff.

Because it's not a SABnzbd thing, it's probably better to try get help via ChatGPT or Google Gemini. And if that doesn't work, via https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/

I should think other Linux users have experienced same problem but I respect that it is a Linux not a Sabnzbd issue. Sorry for posting it here.

Not a Linux issue, more of a user-knowledge issue. ;)

Being able to mount drives is an important skill to have if you're going to be a daily Linux user. There are no-end of online tutorials for this. If you're presently using Ubuntu, find one that uses Ubuntu for its examples.
